Testimonials

I am pleased to write this recommendation for Mr. Md Sariful Islam.
I have known Mr. Islam for more than eight years. During my tenure with ActionAid Bangladesh, I had an opportunity to work with him closely. As his supervisor, I found him to be an outstanding communication professional and team player with exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills. I, being the head of multiple divisions, had to rely heavily on Mr. Islam in planning, implementing, and managing communication activities and he had exceeded my expectations in every single instance. I am particularly thrilled to refer to his outstanding performance during the Rohingya Exodus. Given the magnitude and complexity of the whole affair, Mr. Islam had been challenged like never before in terms of coordination within the country and with other country programmes of ActionAid International Federation, international government and non-government organizations and his hard work, exemplary commitment, leadership and networking skills had been proved to be instrumental in the overall advocacy and fundraising efforts of the organization and highly appreciated across the ActionAid Federation. No wonder why he had been promoted twice within just three years, and while leaving the organization, it was an obvious choice for me to recommend him to be made in charge of the Communication Team.

Director - Outreach & Communication at Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB)

Mr. Md. Sariful Islam is a fantastic and energetic guy who loves communication and collecting content very much. He would stick to something until he meets his goal. More importantly, he is a public communication champion. He really knows how to develop and maintain an important professional relationship with journalists. He is an accomplished organizer and an influential public speaker. Being a student of Mass Communication and Journalism, and a true supporter of development communication, he has been telling stories of thousands of people who are in need. And changing people's lives through his works. He helped me grow in various ways. He taught me well how to assemble, develop and distribute strong communication materials. We have worked on many projects together. We were preparing to train more than 50 journalists on gender-based violence reporting in Cox's Bazar. It was plenty of communication work together. As the team leader, he managed that huge program very well. It was a successful one and got reported by many local and national media. With that project and many others, it was clear to me that planning makes him a real champion, what he really is. He knows how to plan well. I wish him every success.
