IOM Bangladesh

Established in 1951, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) is the leading intergovernmental organization in the field of migration and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits migrants and society. IOM is part of the United Nations system, as a related organization. Bangladesh became a Member State of IOM on 27 November 1990 and the IOM mission in Bangladesh was officially established in 1998. IOM continues to support the Government of Bangladesh to view migration as a phenomenon, holistically and strategically, as well as to understand how migration policy can influence and be influenced by external factors. IOM’s institutional tools endorsed by Member States, including the Migration Crisis Operational Framework (MCOF);

Bangladesh University of Professionals

The establishment of “Bangladesh University of Professionals” (BUP) took place in that process and came into being as the 31st public university in Bangladesh on June 5, 2008. BUP is a unique public university run by the armed forces to uphold the motto “Excellence Through Knowledge”. The youngest university is confident in furthering knowledge in the fields of national security, technology, and modern science to achieve the desired human resources development of the country.

ActionAid Bangladesh ( AAB )

ActionAid is a global movement of people working together to further human rights for all and defeat poverty. The mission of this organization is to achieve social justice, gender equality, and poverty eradication by working with people living in poverty and exclusion, their communities, people’s organizations, activities, social movements, and supporters.

I worked for ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) from June 2014 to July 2019. As a Communications Officer, I joined the ABB. In 2016, I became the Senior Communication Officer. Considering my contribution to the Organization, the organization gave me the responsibility to lead the communication team in 2019. Before leaving AAB for the UN Migration, I contributed AAB through strategic communications, digital innovation, fundraising, emergency communications, branding and media relations.

CARE Bangladesh

South Asian Television ( SA.TV )

S.A. Channel Pvt. Limited (South Asian Television) is a Bangladeshi-based privately owned high-definition satellite channel. It uses the latest technology in broadcasting news and program production through satellite Apstar-7. The channel promotes Bengali culture and language to the mass viewers via news, talk shows, dramas, national and international sports, music, movies and also programs about health, fashion and lifestyle.

From May 2012 through February 2014, I worked as a Staff Reporter and News Presenter for this organization.

Ekushey Television ( ETV )

Ekushey Television has a vast expansion program covering the needs of urban as well as the rural audience, home and aboard, creating enormous employment opportunities, helping the development of backward linkage industries and imparting information and news, opening up new avenues of employment to the people of Bangladesh. Ekushey Television would, thus, ultimately be a propeller of the economic development of the country.

From November 2010 through April 2012, I worked here as a Staff Reporter.
